Mind Control Device

On Monday, I picked up Matthew from piano lessons and he asked me if I liked to waste money. I told him, "Of course not". He told me that he had the perfect solution. All we had to do was to build a mind control device and then people would give us whatever we wanted for free.

Sure enough, the next morning he came downstairs with a mind control device, made of out Knex. He said that he needed to test it and was going to test it by pointing it at our neighbor and asking them to come over.

When I got home from work that night, I asked him how the mind control device was going. He sadly replied that it did not work after all. But then his eyes brightened and he said that he knew how to fix it - it just needed batteries!
