Things Fall Apart: A Novel

Author: Chinua Achebe
Amazon info

The story of a man in Niger - his life, his struggles, his death. Compelling, poetic, and multi-layers it is an enjoyable, worthwhile, and evocative book. What is the meaning of strength, what legacy do we receive from our parents and pass along to our children, what are the unseen effects of our actions - these questions and more are brought to mind.

Be forewarned, African names are not quite as challenging as those in the typical Russian novel - but it pays to keep track of who is whom.

The reviews on Amazon are certainly much more informative than what I write - which is why I always include the link :).

Recommended to all.
