I guess the point of the book log is to blog the books as soon as I read them so I remember what they were. Well, it has been a while and I have gotten a little behind, so this is the first "catch-up" entry. After reading Knife of Dreams, book 11 in the Wheel of Time series, and finding it to be much better than the previous four books, I decided to go back to the beginning. I had recalled Book 1 - The Eye of the World - as being quite good and I wanted to see the characters as they were before "everything happened" - i.e., before they became "famous". And, the book held up to a re-reading. There is some nice foreshadowing of events that will happen thousands of pages later and it was fun to see the characters developing.

However, only recommended for those who will commit to something like 8000-9000 pages of reading, some of which is extremely tedious.
