From Emily - after performing some science experiments at home as part of a "Gum creation kit".
Molly: Emily what did you learn from this experience?
Emily: That adult supervision would be very helpful the next time around.

From Matthew, on a recent Friday morning.
Richard: Matthew, don't you have a math test this morning.
Matthew: Yup.
Richard: Do you have any idea what the math test is about?
Matthew: Nope.
Richard: So, what's the plan - just look at whatever questions they ask and get them all correct?
Matthew: Yup, that's the plan Dad.
End result - he did get them all right, but we are going to start learning how to study in fourth grade.
