MRA - Update

Results from the MRA are in..... and the answer is.... "no change". There is still the same set of "unusual looking" blood vessels that could be a dural fistula AVM - or it could just be how my blood vessels are.

Choices remain the same as they always are:
* Spinal Angiogram to determine if there is an AVM - risk of complications from the lengthy procedure.
* Do nothing - risk of AVM bursting if there is indeed an AVM.
Both risks are in the 1 in x,000 (where x ranges from 2-10). Interestingly, both would have the same result - spinal cord stroke.

Our plan is to watch and wait, wait and watch. Next neuro checkup will be in July and the doctor will see if she can determine any signs of change. As for me, it is a bit of a mixed bag:

+ Sensory loss has not progressed since March 2008
+ There are times when I feel somewhat better, which could be that my brain is just getting used to the lack of neural signal, or it could indicate some actual remission
- All the rugs in the house seem to have grown a few inches, as I seem to be catching my feet on their corners
- Keeping my balance on the treadmill is a bit of a chore, although I am running at a faster pace than before and my balance was never particularly great
